Battery life depends on the unit volume and mode. A fully charged iW1 battery playing music at max volume will last 4.5 hours in AirPlay mode and 3 hours in iPod mode while charging a connected iPod/iPhone (the iW1's battery will be used to charge your iPod or iPhone when connected with USB Sync Cable). At normal listening volume battery life will last around 6+ hours.
